Description

The Sweet Little Thing is the result of nearly 20 years of passion and expertise, a true tribute to the legendary green overdrive that shaped generations of music.
Built with rare, carefully selected components, this pedal bridges vintage character with modern performance, offering a tone that’s rich, dynamic and inspiring.

Born from a relentless pursuit of the perfect sound, the Sweet Little Thing isn’t just another overdrive. It’s a handcrafted masterpiece, tailored for players who demand authenticity and feel. Timeless tone. Perfect balance. Pure inspiration.

I’ve always believed that great tone is all about flavor and I’m constantly striving to bring a unique character to each of my pedals. It’s hard to put into words, but my philosophy has always been to blend science with art.

In the Sweet Little Thing, the NOS components are the secret ingredients, the artistic touch that takes the sound to another level. It’s like a puzzle I’ve been working on for decades: carefully collecting every piece until, finally, the masterpiece comes together. With the SLT, it finally has.

At the heart of this circuit are vintage Motorola and Texas Instruments MC1458 chips, manufactured between 1978 and 1990, the exact era of the early TS pedals. The 2SC2458 transistors and MA150 diodes? Also genuine NOS components straight from that golden age. The capacitors? Vintage Roederstein, Siemens and Panasonic pieces from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Each of these rare parts adds a distinct texture, dynamic response and feel under your fingers, ingredients that are essential for truly authentic tone. Thanks to this meticulous selection, the SLT sounds through contemporary amps exactly the way a vintage TS pedal would have sounded through a Marshall or a Fender amp back in the ‘80s. That’s what makes the Sweet Little Thing so much more than just another TS clone, it’s a bridge to a sound that defined generations.

I’m truly grateful for all the feedback I’ve received, it directly inspired the two key technical improvements I made.

One eternal question with TS-style pedals is the low-end loss. Originally designed as a booster circuit and this wasn’t an issue back in the day. However, today’s diverse playing environments and modern expectations often call for a fuller low-end response. In the Sweet Little Thing, the bass frequency range has been carefully tuned to match today’s guitars and amps, offering a richer, more complete sound.

My second goal was to increase the output volume, but without compromising the drive texture. The result is more headroom, a more open and dynamic tone and a pedal that’s particularly optimized for use as a drive boost. Of course, it still performs flawlessly as a standalone overdrive too, with a slight boost in the gain range to support it.

The Sweet Little Thing is made for players who value not just quality, but also that extra sonic flavor that elevates it far beyond a simple TS clone pedal.

Warning

Please power the pedal with a proper 9VDC standard negative center, 5.5×2.1 plug power adapter, or 9V battery. DC voltage of more than 9V, or AC voltage will damage the circuit. Please be aware of this, as a faulty usage will void warranty.
